Nerd Tip Of The Week

If you ever come across a swimming pool filled with rubbing alcohol, DON'T try to swim in the deep end. Rubbing alcohol is much less dense than water which means you won't be nearly so buoyant. In other words, you'll sink like a rock!

How long before it evaporates??? IF I jump in the deep end, I will just hit the bottom right!

How deep is the pool and what is the ambient air temperature? Is it sunny, partially cloudy or completely cloudy?

I can say for certain that when the last drop of alcohol disappears, THAT is when it has completely evaporated!

Are we taking into account any open sores or paper cuts? How about eye protection. Is this even realistic? Oh yeah any smokers in the area or other sources of open flames?

Why does this sound like something that should be tried on MythBusters?
