Here's what I've been working on for the last month or so.

Wow, Rodney, that was beautiful... I didn't even know him and it made me teary eyed. I love the song, who sings it?

Thanks for sharing something so personal, intimate, and precious.

The song is "With Hope" by Steven Curtis Chapman from the Speechless album. There are song credits at the end of the video which somehow don't get played by YouTube. Go figure. There is a scrolling playback button below the video - if you grab it and drag it to the end, you'll see the song credits.

It's beautiful, Rodney. I'm teary, too. I especially love the pictures with him looking over the ocean at sunset.

rodman! that was a great way to remember him. I did meet him a time or too back in the day. It really was done well. It did stir up a lot with me as far as your family and missing them. I do hope that we can catch up some time in the future. Merry Christmas!

What an amazing piece of artwork Rodney. I can't stop crying! I watched that and remembered meeting Kim's mom and little sister for the 1st time (I might have met Theron and just not remember)but it made me realize how much I miss you guys. Life is such a precious gift that often gets lost in the daily routine, mundane demands of our time.

Thanks for sharing...tell Kim hello for me. We love you guys.

Great job, Rodney! Two thoughts:
First, I see God's wisdom in moving you and your family to Florida for those precious years. At the time I really hated to see you all leave NC.
Second, the quality of the video uploaded to YouTube was really excellent. Was that home video gear or some of your professional editing multi-million dollar equipment?
Hello to Kim also!
Have you seen my pitiful little blog?

Hey everybody. Thanks for all the kind remarks. It's been difficult editing this together at times. I've been more emotional with Theron's death than I thought I would. It's been therapeutic in a way to do this project. There isn't a day goes by that I don't think of him.

Chip, I had no idea you had your blog up and running! I WILL be frequenting it. I can't say that I don't miss NC, because I do at times. I've missed being near my family and feeling connected to something larger than just us. I sometimes feel like I'm missing out on something.

As for the video, it's a hodge-podge of material pulled from a lot of places. The videos in it were from a Panasonic PV-GS39 (I'm not thrilled with the quality, but the price was right). The older footage was from a JVC Hi8 camera (also poor image quality). The pictures were taken with an older Samsung digital camera and with my Canon Digital Rebel XT. I have several lenses for the Canon and it's now kind of a hobby. As far as the editing was concerned, it was all done in iMovie (free with any new Mac). It's a fairly useful program if you know what to do. I doesn't do everything I wished it would, but that's why Apple sells Final Cut. $$$$$

Hey Rodney!
Excellent work, in which your love shines brightly through every frame. You present a powerful tribute to a man whose live was surely well lived.
Will you do mine when I go where Theron is now?
